About Dr. Christine Chang-Halpenny

Dr. Chang-Halpenny chose the specialty of radiation oncology because she loved how aspects of technology, anatomy and patient care came together within this field, and wanted to be a part of the fight against cancer.

Dr. Chang-Halpenny completed a radiation oncology residency (including chief year) at Kaiser Permanente in Southern California. Her internship was at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She earned both her medical as well as undergraduate degrees from Stanford University. She is originally from Miami, Florida.

She has authored numerous articles and presented at local, national and international meetings. Dr. Chang-Halpenny belongs to a variety of professional organizations including the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American College of Radiology and the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). She has previously been honored as the recipient of grants and scholarships from groups including the Radiological Society of North America, ASTRO, ACRO and the American Brachytherapy Society.

When Dr. Chang-Halpenny is not at cCARE caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with and exploring the area with her husband and two children.
