Dr. McClay from my first visit was a light of hope when others said I had 3-12 months to live after my metastatic lung cancer diagnosis on 8/32018. Brain surgery to remove a metastatic tumor was done by Dr Yoo, radiation followed by 2 years of chemo and immune therapy..I have been in remission since 10/2020..Thank you cCARE staff and Drs. Second opinions matter.

When I found out I had cancer, I thought it was a death sentence and positively thought that I couldn’t make it through it and that I was alone. But the assistants, doctors and people at cCARE have been there with me along the way and are always helpful and help fulfill every need that I have from them in a timely matter. This is my third experience with hematology and oncology. By far the best. Extremely professional and compassionate. The staff members, from the front end to the treatment areas, we’re top notch from the beginning of my visit and at the end while scheduling my next visit. Doctor Doraiswamy is absolutely the most knowledgeable and exceptionally caring physician I’ve been blessed with. The doctor spent all the time I needed, and explained everything in a way that I was able to understand. Given the choice, cCare would always be my first go-to.

Dr. Kosmo and Maryanne have always treated me like family. I don’t think I would be where I am today without them. My visits and procedures have always been my favorite because I know I’m in good hands. It’s more than just a visit it’s seeing family, and that’s important to me. From the first time I set foot in cCARE, I was greeted by Diane, who was very professional and understanding on how to make a first time patient feel more relaxed. Being treated under Dr. Dexter Estrada, I could not have been given a more compassionate and caring physician. His staff, Lera and Anthony, are also very caring and professional assets to cCARE, answering questions and getting the meds needed. The nurses upstairs who perform the treatments are also very professional and courteous such as Eric, Kim, David(s), and Ana are just a few to mention. I’m also under Dr. Monson’s care for radiation treatments. After a few years of chemo treatments and a few operations, I am now in remission. There is not enough that I can say about everyone working at cCARE, except for a very deep and heartfelt appreciation for extending not only my life a little longer, but also for the lives of all patients who are battling this horrific disease. Continue on your journey finding better cures to fight this disease and God Bless cCARE!

Two years ago this month, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. On that fateful day in August, when we thought the worst was yet to come, in walks Dr. Bessudo and speaks to the entire family at mom’s hospital bed at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas. He explained her diagnosis and that there was hope for her future with a “mellow” chemotherapy course and immunotherapy. He said she could survive “three or more” years with treatment. Wow, did this give us hope! He was so positive, reassuring, and calming. We actually believed everything he was saying because he had our trust! He is also pretty funny! We love to laugh! So, two years later, my mother is still here and kicking it! She is now 90 years old, and we cherish each and every day we have with her. With this chemo and continuing immunotherapy, she is feeling so well and we can’t really believe it! The reason for this message is to let you know how much we love and respect Dr. Bessudo. He is super smart and knows all the ins and outs of this horrible cancer thing! I am going to take a guess that all the other oncologists in this practice are superlative as well, but we only know Dr. Bessudo and what we know, we love and respect so much! He is fabulous! If you ever need another testimonial for this amazing doctor, I would give it in a heartbeat! My recommendation is to do whatever it takes to keep Dr. Bessudo with you all so he can save as many lives as possible!

I appreciate everyone at the Murrieta location. I’ve been a cCARE patient for a year now. Every single visit / appointment I’ve had I was treated with compassion, professionalism and friendliness. When I was first diagnosed with metastatic malignant melanoma last December I was devastated. However, all employees and staff reminded me to keep a positive attitude. I’m now considered in remission! Thank you all for everything that you do.

When I was told I had 3-5 years to live, I was scared, I was only 28 and having to face my own mortality … Twenty year olds aren’t supposed to have to deal with that … I’ve been seeing Dr. Sinclair for 24 years, and have the best doctor/medical team one could ask for!

The staff are amazing!! I was recently diagnosed few months ago. It is not something you want to hear from your doctor but the friendly staff walked me through this step by step from day one and took good care of me. Even when I had a question or a concern and called the office for assistance they were really good with returning my calls. I do recommend to pay attention to the details and instruction they give you because it will make things easier on both the staff and yourself. THANK YOU ALL!

The best part of coming to this facility is how well the nurses take care of you in the Large Infusion room. Specifically I would like to commend nurse Lucy in the large Infusion room for always showing great care and compassion for those who aren’t feeling their best when they come to get treated. Lucy always has a smile, always tries to keep things light and generally cares about the people she is treating. She sits with me during my phlebotomy and for a while makes me forget about how bad I am feeling. She is a wonderful nurse and she makes the Infusion room a tolerable experience with her smile and presence. I can’t say enough about her, except to thank her for being a compassionate human being.

I can’t praise the team at this location enough, they were nothing short of amazing! From the very first time that my family and I walked into cCARE seeking any available assistance with my condition, we easily realized that we were in the best of hands! The sheer confidence of the attending physician permeates through the office to each and every member of this incredible team. Not once did I feel as though my procedure was with questionable outcome, I knew that I was getting the very best care available, and the best viable option to a recovery. And I wasn’t disappointed! My treatments just ended last Thursday, but I feel ever so comfortable expecting a great outcome! And it’s due to this entire team! You know that an organization is doing things right when everything about your treatments go almost exactly as previously planned, and the happiness and satisfaction experienced by cCARE patients is so easily visible when simply awaiting your scheduled treatment in one of their waiting areas. Every patient like myself, many with family by their side, conversed and displayed mutual empathy and compassion for each other as we all awaited our scheduled treatments. Every conversation with the entire group that I had the pleasure of meeting during my weeks of treatments had nothing but the greatest things to say about cCARE. Dr. Banerjee and Susan Klein always have time for me and they explain things in a forthright and easy-to-understand manner. I lost my mother at the age of 9, some 55 years ago. I was told, Mom died because of cancer. The fear, that I may get cancer was always haunting me. I am grateful to Dr. Banerjee who has the wisdom of taking the fact seriously and has exposed some probable causes. I feel I am in the best hands. It was very hard to accept my cancer diagnosis at first and I disliked everyone a cCARE. I was terrified and completely undone. I soon came to realize the high degree of care I am receiving as well as the empathy and compassion from all members of staff. I finally had a meeting with Dr. Kosmo where I wasn’t crying and fighting everything he was saying and recognized what a caring physician he is. My Nurse Practitioner Katrina Clynch is on top of every test, medication and results and is so bright I feel very safe when I meet with her monthly.

cCare is the best! I have had a fantastic experience with Dr. Hager and the entire cCARE staff. Everyone is so knowledgable, caring, and goes above and beyond to help. My husband has been seeing Dr. Hager since 2009. He has a condition that will require him to see this doctor for probably the rest of his life. We have always been very happy with the care he gets at cCARE. Dr. Hager is kind, compassionate, explains things thoroughly, and has a great sense of humor. When my husband’s illness required a referral for an out of town specialist he did not hesitate to do so immediately. That is a very good sign that you have a good doc who is looking out for the patient and not his ego!! We’ve dealt with too many of those! Dr. Hager and his staff have always been there for my husband and all of his needs and we have felt very well cared for.

I’m constantly amazed at the ability of the staff to remember my name; they deal with hundreds (I’m guessing) of people a day. Always friendly, very good about scheduling and communicating with you in follow-up and appointment reminders. I love cCARE – they have the most caring doctors and nurses. I love my hydrating nurses Michael, Esther, the young nurses I call Mia’s! They are gentle and help us get thru burning veins, collapsed veins, dehydrated bodies, vomiting times… helping and explaining why things burn or hurt when being injected. They always make you happy! My Drs. Passcuzo, Jemely and Irene my nurse PA are the best. For the last year they have help me withstand this chemo and beat the tumor, thank you Lord for these people and using them to save my life!

These comments are specifically directed to the staff at 4S Ranch. I live in Cardiff but prefer to drive the extra distance because of the wonderful staff at 4S. Juli at the front check in is always so uplifting, friendly and positive….. with EVERYONE. A great way to start an appointment for sure! There are so many other employees at this facility that are equally wonderful I can just name a few…..Joe, Lisa, Chanda, Monique, Katie, Teri and for sure Marty. This entire office should take pride in knowing how much, as a patient, l appreciate their compassion and caring.

I have been a patient of Dr. Laurie Frakes for 11 years, since I was diagnosed by a doctor in Los Angeles with infiltrating ductal carcinoma, Triple Negative, with a tumor size of 4.5 cm. I decided to have my treatment in Encinitas, closer to home. Dr. Frakes and her staff’s professionalism, kindness, and knowledge is what allowed me to not only physically survive the disease itself, but also allowed me to psychologically survive what I call “the year of inconvenience.” It is because of Dr. Frakes’ superior knowledge and ability in her field that I am now enjoying life to its fullest, sleeping with no evidence of disease. I find myself still stressing before every appointment, and Dr. Frakes as well as her staff are calming, supportive and reassuring.
