Dr. Eisenberg shares lifestyle habits that reduce the risk of developing cancer

Some cancer is caused by genetics and other factors beyond the control of the choices made by the affected individual. However, many of the leading types of cancers can be prevented by adopting certain lifestyle habits including avoiding tobacco, limiting drinking and getting regular exercise.

“Although not all cancer can be prevented, there are measures you can take to greatly reduce the risk for certain types of cancer — particularly lung and skin cancers, two of the most common,” Dr. Eisenberg said.
