About Dr. Leonard Thomas Hackett
Dr. Hackett is board certified in hematology and medical oncology. He attended McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and medical degree. He then completed his internship in internal medicine and residencies in hematology and oncology at McMaster University.
Dr. Hackett chose oncology and hematology specialties because he enjoys studying blood diseases and the opportunity to be able to help patients be the best they can be each day. He says the patient is the most important person at the time of the visit and answers all questions he or she may have before proceeding with his agenda for the patient’s visit.
Dr. Hackett offers multiple treatment options, provides guidance, and allows his patients and their families to decide which treatment they want to pursue.
In his spare time over the years, Dr. Hackett has enjoyed watching his son play competitive sports throughout his childhood and through college.
