Dr. Lamon, M.D. is a native San Diegan and a Hoover High School graduate. He received his B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University and his M.D. from the University of Southern California.
His postdoctoral training was at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital (internship and residency in internal medicine). He served in the U.S. Public Health Service at the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Lamon’s fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology was at the National Cancer Institute and Scripps Clinic. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.
Following four years on the staff of Scripps Clinic, he established his specialty practice in Escondido and Poway. He has been on the medical staffs of Palomar and Pomerado hospitals for 33 years.
Affiliations include Fellow of the American College of Physicians (F.A.C.P.), membership in the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
Dr. Lamon is married and has three grown children. In his free time, he likes gardening and playing golf.
