The Fresno Bee reported on cCARE’s recent unveiling of artist’s renderings of the forthcoming cancer treatment center on the Saint Agnes Medical Center campus. cCARE’s physicians have provided care for the Central Valley’s growing population for several decades. This new facility ensures that patients in the region will continue to receive excellent and convenient treatment and care.

Just days before Christmas 2015, San Diego resident Dawn Mannino discovered she has stage 4 breast cancer, a very serious diagnosis. At that time, she thought that she might very well be experiencing her last holiday season. Then she sought treatment from cCARE’s Dr. Steven Eisenberg.

Each year San Diego Magazine identifies the top doctors in the region, and this year cCARE’s Dr. Pushpendu Banerjee and Dr. James Sinclair both earned a spot on the list. Dr. Banerjee and Dr. Sinclair specialize in hematology and oncology and participate in ongoing cancer treatment research.

In July of 2014, Stephanie Jackson was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). This particular cancer type is only seen in 10 to 20 percent of breast cancer diagnoses, and it is often very aggressive. Stephanie received treatment from cCARE’s Dr. Robert Lemon, and she published her story because she hopes to educate women about the importance of self-exams and mammograms.

The harrowing tale of Jim Brusso’s battle with recurring melanoma is featured in a story in the Encinitas Advocate. Brusso is a patient of cCARE’s Dr. Ed McClay, a long-time expert in melanoma treatment. When Jim visited Dr. McClay in April, he’d planned on having major brain surgery to remove a tumor on his pituitary gland that was causing him to lose his eyesight.

cCARE is joining forces with Saint Agnes in Fresno to provide what is expected to be the largest private cancer center in the Central Valley. The project will expand and renovate an existing 31,000-square-foot center into a new 65,000-square-foot facility, and is expected to be finished in a year to 15 months.

Fresno-based cCARE (CCA) has been selected as the recipient of the National 2009 HOPE (Hematology and Oncology Practice Excellence) award as the best example of a medium-sized practice in the category of Clinical Best Practices.
