Each year San Diego Magazine identifies the top doctors in the region, and this year cCARE’s Dr. Pushpendu Banerjee and Dr. James Sinclair both earned a spot on the list. Dr. Banerjee and Dr. Sinclair specialize in hematology and oncology and participate in ongoing cancer treatment research.
San Diego Magazine‘s peer-nominated list of Top Doctors is compiled annually in cooperation with the San Diego County Medical Society (SDCMS). “With votes and nominations open to all physicians in San Diego, selected nominees represent the best of the best, a medical practitioner to whom our doctors would refer their patients and family,” says SDCMS President Mihir Parikh.
“In 2016, I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 41,” said Dr. Marianne Ingheim, the facilitator for the Pages of Hope supportive journaling class. “Then in 2023, I had a recurrence.”
“Mostly it’s the cause of inflammation that can happen,” said Dr. Abdul Mustajeeb Haseeb, a medical oncologist & hematologist at cCare in Northeast Fresno. “Changing the gut biome of the bacteria that really increases the inflammation and increases the risk for cancer.”
Some women live with denser breast tissue than others, which puts them at higher risk for breast cancer.
