The Fresno Bee reported on cCARE’s recent unveiling of artist’s renderings of the forthcoming cancer treatment center on the Saint Agnes Medical Center campus. cCARE’s physicians have provided care for the Central Valley’s growing population for several decades. This new facility ensures that patients in the region will continue to receive excellent and convenient treatment and care.
“The plan is to renovate the existing center and add another 31,000 square feet,” The Fresno Bee reports. “The center, to be named cCARE at Saint Agnes, would be managed by the cancer group. It will provide chemotherapy, research and clinical trials, radiation therapy, a physician dispensing program for oral oncology drugs, and a high-complexity medical lab.”
“In 2016, I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 41,” said Dr. Marianne Ingheim, the facilitator for the Pages of Hope supportive journaling class. “Then in 2023, I had a recurrence.”
“Mostly it’s the cause of inflammation that can happen,” said Dr. Abdul Mustajeeb Haseeb, a medical oncologist & hematologist at cCare in Northeast Fresno. “Changing the gut biome of the bacteria that really increases the inflammation and increases the risk for cancer.”
Some women live with denser breast tissue than others, which puts them at higher risk for breast cancer.
