The Fresno Bee picked Kuppa Joy at cCARE’s cancer center as one of the hidden gem restaurants in Fresno. It is in the main waiting area of cCARE as a stand-alone café for patients, their family members and friends, and medical staff. Kuppa Joy offers tasty options for coffee, tea, bakery items, and  Rappit Up vegan and vegetarian food.

The Fresno Bee mentioned a new Kuppa Joy kiosk in cCARE’s cancer center in Fresno, CA. Kuppa Joy at cCARE serves as a stand-alone café for the facility. Kuppa Joy is also providing free coffee concierge services to all patients receiving treatment.

After one year of treatment and six surgeries, Hanford Police Chief Parker Sever completed his final chemotherapy treatment. A large group of Sever’s friends and family gathered at cCARE’s Fresno location to celebrate with him.

The new 65,000-square-foot outpatient cCARE cancer center opened Tuesday, July 31, on the campus of Saint Agnes Medical Center. The facility includes treatment options such as chemotherapy and radiation, research and clinical trials and more.

Fresno’s ABC30 Health Watch recently toured the now-open 65,000 square foot cCARE at Saint Agnes facility. In an interview with ABC30, cCARE’s CEO Troy Simon and Medical Director Dr. William Jawien both explain the patient benefits of the new cancer center, built to better serve the community.

cCARE’s Dr. James Sinclair recently penned an editorial in the Times of San Diego outlining the ways in which the federal 340B drug pricing program favors large corporately-owned hospitals, while edging out independent, community-owned practices. While the program’s intent was to cut costs for cancer patients, the savings are not being passed onto patients, says Dr. Sinclair. And peer-reviewed research backs this claim.

A story recently aired on Fresno’s ABC30 Action News details a number of projects in the works throughout the Fresno Valley, including the forthcoming 65,000 square foot cCARE in the Saint Agnes facility. In an interview with an ABC reporter, cCARE’s CEO Troy Simon explained that cCARE’s approach to cancer care brings state-of-the-art treatment to Fresno residents battling the disease.

Some cancer is caused by genetics and other factors beyond the control of the choices made by the affected individual. However, many of the leading types of cancers can be prevented by adopting certain lifestyle habits including avoiding tobacco, limiting drinking and getting regular exercise.

Explaining the moments following her diagnosis of an aggressive form of breast cancer, Stephanie said, “I felt like I got hit by a Mack truck.” As the shock wore off, Stephanie, who recounted the details of her story on cCARE’s website, relied on her buoyant optimism and determination, along with months of treatment at the hands of Dr. Robert Lemon and the team at cCARE.
